Robotiq Hand-E now reaches 100 mm – without giving up precision

Robotiq has expanded its Hand-E adaptive gripper with a new 100 mm version. The doubled stroke makes the gripper more flexible for high-mix manufacturing, CNC and machine tending, pick-and-place and physical AI – while keeping everything that made Hand-E popular in the first place.

Double the stroke, same performance

The new variant keeps the gripper's core characteristics unchanged:

  • 7 kg payload – unchanged.
  • IP67 sealing that withstands dust and coolant in harsh shop-floor environments.
  • The same precision and repeatability across the full stroke range.
  • Identical controls and firmware to the 50 mm version – no new programming required.

Stroke options are now 50 mm (standard) or 100 mm (new). The longer version lets you handle parts from 0 to 100 mm without swapping fingers or fitting extenders.

Shorter changeovers in high-mix production

The extended stroke pays off most when one cell has to handle parts of different sizes. Instead of swapping fingers or adding extenders at each changeover, a single gripper covers a wider size range – cutting changeover time and simplifying maintenance. Grip force and precision stay consistent across the whole range.

Where it delivers the most

  • Assembly and pick-and-place with variable part sizes.
  • CNC and machine tending in demanding shop-floor environments.
  • High-mix manufacturing.
  • Physical AI and contact-rich applications that need careful manipulation.

The 50 mm version remains available for applications with tighter part ranges, so you can pick the right stroke for the job.
