SE Automation and Trener Robotics partner on intelligent machine tending
SE Automation, a Swedish system integrator and licensed Universal Robots distributor, is partnering with Trener Robotics (T-robotics) to develop intelligent machine-tending solutions. Together we want to make it simpler and more flexible to automate in high-mix, low-volume production.
The challenge: high mix, low volume
High-mix, low-volume manufacturers all wrestle with the same thing: automation that isn't flexible enough. Production variability, constant reprogramming and labour constraints make it hard to justify robot automation when runs are short and changeovers are frequent.
The solution: the CoboTend package
The partnership delivers the CoboTend package – a machine-tending solution built on Trener Robotics' Acteris software. With Acteris the robot is programmed using natural language instead of traditional robot code, which gives:
- Dramatically simplified robot programming.
- Reduced setup times for machine tending.
- Quick reprogramming for new tasks without lengthy downtime.
- Support for frequent production changeovers.
Trener Robotics brings the software that simplifies programming; SE Automation brings the expertise to deploy the robotic systems and tailor the integration to your machinery.
What they say
"This collaboration combines T-robotics' Acteris software, designed to simplify robot programming, with SE Automation's extensive expertise in deploying robotic systems."
— Asad Tirmizi, CEO, T-robotics
"Our collaboration with T-robotics ensures that manufacturers have the tools to tackle today's production challenges."
— Karl Ericsson, CTO, SE Automation
What it means for Swedish industry
For manufacturers in Sweden and the Nordics, the partnership means a faster path to flexible machine tending – where the robot can be reconfigured as quickly as production demands. Want to know how CoboTend fits your production? Contact us and we'll tell you more.
